The Revd Dr Amelia Koh-Butler is the Minister of the Eastwood Uniting Church in Sydney, and a Chaplain at Western Sydney University. She writes a blog called Hyphenated Faith, where she describes herself as having “a hyphenated identity, half-Chinese, half-Scottish Aussie… Minister, widow, step mum, foster mum, mentor, sister, missiologist, theologian, home cook, writer, musician, creative… a place of play and dabbling.”
Context changes everything. Where, when and how we encounter life changes what we seek and long for from God and faith. Adaptive faith allows for the constancy of God in our ever-changing lives. It also requires us to be fluid – like water!
