Everyone who is involved in our church is invited to gather online and engage in an open space conversation on the question:
Our recent decision about the future of our church opens up new possibilities in areas such as deepening relationships, common prayer, mission, and equipping one another to follow Jesus in every area of our lives.
How do we get started and make the most of these new possibilities?
As a church, we recently decided to commit ourselves to a pattern of life that involves our main gatherings for prayer and worship continuing online, and a big increase in the number and range of other activities, both physically gathered and online, that enable us to enjoy one another’s company and deepen our relationships with one another. Although some of this has already begun over the past year, there will be lots that we can do better now that we have decided that it is not just temporary. So now is the time to begin addressing the questions that were put on hold, or the new questions and ideas that are only now emerging. An exciting new future lies before us. What things do we need to attend to now to make the most of it?
“Whosoever will may come”. Often those who have only been involved for a short time or in a limited way are the very ones who can notice what others no longer see or ask the questions that open up what most needs to be addressed. If you have any connection with us and you care, your perspective is valuable and you are most welcome.
On the day:
-
- space will be opened to raise every issue that is of interest or concern to you;
- space will be given to discuss every issue that you care about;
- every participant will receive a full written report of the issues and discussions;
- opportunity will be given to initiate new actions from anything that emerges.
It will take place between 10:30am – 4:30pm but don’t panic! This is not a 6 hour session, but a series of shorter sessions that you can pick and choose from throughout the day.
