Lenten Reading Discussion @ Online - Daily prayer log-in

We gather in the Cyber Chapel to discuss the past week’s readings from our Lenten Reading project.

Each session will begin with a listening circle in which each person will be invited to share a highlight or two from the readings so far. You could choose to read out a passage from a reading, and/or share some comments on the passage. When everyone has had an opportunity to share something, there will probably be some further time of general discussion about the readings and our reactions to them.
The book contains 52 short chapters (5-6 pages each), some of which consist of two or three brief readings. We are aiming to read a chapter each day throughout Lent and the first week of Pascha.
The book we are reading for our Lenten Daily Reading Project is called Following the Call: Living the Sermon on the Mount TogetherIt is a collection of readings from a wide range of authors (Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther Jr. King, C.S. Lewis, Dorothy Day, N. T. Wright, Richard Rohr, Madeleine L’Engle, Thomas Merton, etc).
The book is available cheaply as an e-book for Kindle here, or for Kobo here, or for Scribd here. It is not available on Apple Books.
If you want it as a proper hard-copy book, order your copy a.s.a.p so that you have a chance of getting it in time for teh beginning of Lent. You can order it online from any of the following:
If you want a copy and aren’t able to order online yourself, ask around or put out a request on our email list to find someone else who can can add a copy for you to their order.
