At SYCBaps, we have made a commitment to learning more about the indigenous heritage of our locality. One of the great resources for such learning is the Aboriginal Heritage Walks at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Uncle Dennis Fisher, an Aboriginal Elder who has begun worshipping with us recently, is one of the regular guides for these walks, and so in this congregational outing we will go on one of the walks with him. A video about the walks is included below (although Dennis doesn’t appear in it). Those who are unable to make it on this occasion are encouraged to book in for on of the regular walks at the Gardens which begin at 11am each day except Saturdays.
