An Open Table where Love knows no borders

40 Years Ordained

Tonight, on the 40th anniversary of his ordination, Gilbert Joyce shared with us some of his reflections on his journey in ministry. There is no written version of available (unless you ask Gilbert for his handwritten notes, which you’d probably have trouble reading!!), but you can listen to the recording. Gilbert is fourth from the left in the photo below of the group he was ordained with.

  1. Disappointed I couldn’t be there to visually experience your sermon & to see your old photos.
Thank you for reminding us that as Christians we all have a calling. May God continue to bless you & Yvonne in your service.

  2. Gilbert, thank you for sharing the story of your ministry and your spiritual journey with us. Thank you for your service to God’s people.

I pray that God will continue to lead and bless you and Yvonne as together you continue your ministry – even although it may be in a different environment and have taken on a different format and focus.

  3. I’m sorry I wasn’t at South Yarra to hear “first hand” your talk and view the pictures. Nevertheless I’m able to sit at my desk and take in a record of a great journey, together with Yvonne, which of course continues at South Yarra.

The posted photograph of “the saints of God” is amazing!
