This Sunday we are honoured and excited to welcome the Revd Dr James Alison as our guest preacher in the Cyber Chapel. He is one of this generation’s most important and creative theologians, best known for bringing the work of the great French thinker René Girard to a wider public, and for his firm but patient insistence on truthfulness in matters gay as an ordinary part of basic Christianity, and for his pastoral outreach in the same sphere.
Our regular Sunday gathering around the Lord’s Word and Table is currently happening online only, but it is not just a streamed telecast. Like our usual service, it is a highly participatory inclusive and healing blend of ancient and modern spiritual practices. For details of how our online liturgies are working and how to participate, see this page.
All welcome, regardless of age, race, religion, capability, sexual identity, or immigration status.
After the service, we would normally share in a light evening meal together, but we haven’t worked out how to serve soup and bread online!
